kimmy

Kimmy’s the name, snuggling is my game! I’m a 5-year old Retriever mix available for adoption. I’m just your all-around great dog! I’m playful, outgoing and sweet. I’m okay with most dogs and even cats. I’m the perfect family dog and can live with kids ages 8 and older. You gotta stop by soon and see how sweet I am!

venus-1

I’m Venus, a 2-year old cat looking for a home at NAHS. You may think I was named after a planet because I think things should revolve around me, but honestly, I was named after the goddess of love and beauty. I’m sure you can tell just by looking at me how much you’ll love me and how beautiful I am. I’d like to be the only pet in your house, but I’ll be sure to fill the place with …. you guessed it, love and beauty!!

bustercoco

Looking for a love-bug? Buster’s your guy! What about a secret admirer? Coco fits the bill! These two 3-year olds are the perfect pair; they’re special-needs kitties (both have problems with eye sight) and are quite dependent on each other. Want to feel rewarded every day? Adopt this deserving duo.

pipsqueak_jrt_1

You know the Energizer Bunny? Well, that’s me, but in dog form. I just keep going and going… and going. I’m Pipsqueak, a 1-year old Jack Russell Terrier mix.  If you like doing fun things with dogs, please come and meet me. I’d love to enroll in agility training; I bet I could win some competitions. I’m short, fast, and a fabulous jumper. I can play a little rough, so kids in my new home should be at least 12 years old. And, I should be the only pet. If you have experience with my breed, don’t waste another second. Come to meet me soon!

abby_aussie-mix

Do you think you would win an award for the most active family? If so, then I need to join your household. I’m Abby, a 1-year old Australian Shepherd mix.  I’m an extremely active girl looking for someone to tire me out on a daily basis. I’m a happy girl who loves attention, but I also like to be busy. I can live with some other dogs–I would need to meet them first. No cats, please. Kids in my new home need to be at least 12 years old.

cheetah_org-and-white_1

My name is Cheetah, a 1-year old male. Don’t let my name trick you into thinking I’m fierce. Or fast. I’m a typical, lazy, snuggly cat, just looking for a home to call my own. I like getting attention, taking long naps and watching the world out a window. I hope you come meet me soon, so I can bring some love to you!

ottis

I’m Ottis, a 5-year old long-haired cat at NAHS.  I’m the shy, quiet type, and I’m always around making sure things are as they should be. I’ll need a little time and my own private space to adjust in my new home. Once I’m comfortable, I’ll be your forever friend. I would prefer a quiet home with no other pets.

cinnamon

I’m Cinnamon, a 6-month old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Looking for a wiggly, goofy, silly, playful pup to calll your own? Then look no further! I’m a ball of energy with fur. My new family should be active and dog savvy. Kids in my new home should be older and I can’t live with cats because I’d do nothing but chase them all day. I do like some other dogs and I’d be great if you need a jogging buddy. I hope somebody will come in and fall in love with me soon!

biscuit

My name is Biscuit.  I’m 10 years old and ready to go for another 10. I’m still really active and love to play. But when it’s time for tummy rubs, I’m right there, ready and willing. If you’d like to open your home to a more mature dog, think about coming to meet me. I’m totally worth the trip.

bettie

I’m Bettie, a 2-year old black and white cat.  I have quite a reputation for being the life of the party! I’m a great office assistant, watching the printer and waiting for faxes. I had my own litter of kittens this summer but I’m looking to relax and soak up all the attention my new family will give me. I should be the only pet in my new home. Stop by and see me soon!

danke

I’m Danka, a 3-year old Staffordshire Terrier mix.  Who could resist eyes like mine? I’m a sweet girl who absolutely LOVES toys and playing with them. I’m smaller than most Staffies, but I’ve got enough love in my heart to make up for my small size! Kids in my new home should be 12 or older (I might play too rough for smaller kids) and I’m too much for kitties. I like most other dogs. I can’t wait to meet you!

autumn

I’m Autumn, a 3-year old tortoiseshell cat.  Many people say that autumn is their favorite time of year, so I’m hoping I’ll also be their favorite kitty. I’ve raised my family (three little female kitties), and they’ve all gone off to good homes. I’m now patiently awaiting my turn. I’m very sweet and a little on the shy side, so kids in my new home should be at least 8 years old. If you’d like to experience autumn all year ’round, I’m your girl. Come to see me soon!

bugsy_salem

Have room in your heart and home for 2 bonded cats? We might be for you! We’re Bugsy and Salem, two 6-year old cats at NAHS. We not biological brothers but we’ve grown up together and would like to find a new home together. We’re busy cats! First, we’ve got to check out what’s happening out the window. Next, we’ll see if any closets need looking into. And then there are our naps - can’t be late for those! We can fit a little socializing into our schedule. Shall we meet for dinner?

squirt_terrier

Hello! I’m Squirt, a 6-year old terrier at NAHS. I’m a great all around dog, just waiting for a great family to adopt me! I’m a snuggler and love people. I don’t mind cats, but I need to be an only dog. I love belly rubs, know how to speak and promise to always be excited when you come home. Vist me today!

daisy_bassetx

I’m Daisy, a 1-year old Basset mix at NAHS.  Is it true that the bigger your head is, the more brains you have? You can’t really tell by my picture, but I have a Basset body and a Boxer/Lab-type head. I’m nervous here at the shelter, but I think I’ll warm up quickly in my new home. My first family was home a lot, so I’m not really used to being home alone very much. I like to play and chase things, but if I get bored, I look for something to do, so you’ll need to give me lots of chew toys. I can live with kids age 8 years and older, and maybe some other dogs. But, no cats please–way too tempting.

milo_greytabby

I’m Milo, a handsome 4-year old grey tabby.  Now you see me, now you don’t. I’m a stealth kitty, meaning that I’m always around, even though you might not know it. If you need a cat who’s affectionate but knows how to mind his own business, check me out!

mallieboo_dsh

Hi, I’m Mallie Boo! I’m a 1 1/2-year old tuxedo cat.  I’m not sure why, but I’ve been at NAHS for over 250 days!  I’m looking for a family that will help me come out of my shell. I’m a little on the shy side and need someone who’s willing to give me all the attention and love I need to thrive! Everyone here at the shelter is so nice to me but this is no place for a kitty like me. Please stop by and visit with me!

biscuit_terrierx

Hi, I’m Biscuit, a terrier mix at NAHS.  If you look closely at my photo, you’ll see that someone is tickling my belly–life is great! I’m 10 years old and ready to go for another 10. I’m still really active and love to play. But when it’s time for tummy rubs, I’m right there, ready and willing. If you’d like to open your home to a more mature dog, think about coming to meet me. I’m totally worth the trip.

tess_greyandfluffy

My name is Tess!  I’m 9 months old and some people say I look a little like a Bearded Collie, while others say maybe a Lab/Poodle mix. I say, “Whatever. Does it really matter?” I’m a very friendly girl who’ll bring a lot of love and activity to the right family. I don’t like to be home alone for long periods of time. I’m so smart that I get bored very quickly and easily. When that happens, I find my own stuff to do, and that gets me into trouble sometimes. If you’re an extremely active family with older kids, I might be the dog for you. Remember, I like to be busy!

annika_dsh

Hi! I’m Annika! I’m a very sweet and pretty 2-year old calico cat who’s looking for a home to relax and settle in. I’m a tiny bit shy when you meet me but I think it’s just all the activity at the shelter. I’m sure once I’m in a home environment, I’ll thrive! Please stop by and see me!
